You can search across all databases your institution subscribes to by selecting All Databases from the Search in the drop-down menu. It’s available to institutions that subscribe to two or more products.
You can also modify the collections to be searched; by default, all collections in your institution's subscription will be searched.
Note: The Preprints Citation Index will be excluded from All Database Search by default.
If your institution subscribes to only one product (e.g., Web of Science Core Collection), you will not see All Databases.
Note: You will have a limited number of search fields available to select from in an All Database Search. Theses include:
- Topic (Title, Keywords, Abstracts)
- Title
- Author
- Publication/Sources Titles
- Year Published
- Publication Date
- Abstract
- Address
- Author Identifiers
- DOI
- Editor
- Group Author
To search specialized fields available in a unique collection, you will need to navigate to that collection to search.
Access articles across the Web of Science platform that cite your article of interest by clicking the Citations count from the Search results or Full Record page.
Note: In All Databases, the citation count will include citations from all cited reference collections, even collections your institution may not subscribe to.
To navigate from the All Database results to content from the specific database, you may use the Database Refine results option available on the left-hand side of the result list.
If the publication record retrieved in the All Database search indexed in Web of Science Core Collection will reflect its metadata structure as default; however, if it is also indexed in other thematic databases, there will be an option to see it in the way it is indexed there with additional specific metadata.
